Description
73 and 74 High Street are 18th-century buildings made of whitewashed rubble with brick dressings. They feature a pitched tile roof and brick stacks, standing two storeys tall with attics. The buildings have a brick modillion eaves cornice and two casement windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a late 18th-century bow shop front with glazing bars, along with two fixed windows and two part-glazed doors, one with fielded panelling and the other with flush panelling. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 65 to 85, The Sun Public House, Nos 88 to 90, the Church of St Peter and St Paul, and Nos 42 to 64 on the south side.
