Description

The building at 32 and 33 Hilperton Road dates to approximately 1827. It is constructed of Bath stone ashlar with a projecting plinth and a band above the ground floor. The roof is tiled, with projecting eaves supported by brackets, and features four stone ridge chimneys. The building has five windows on the first floor, with the outer two set in slight projections. These windows are glazing bar sashes with raised surrounds, and have a shallow triangular head. The ground floor has two groups of three round-headed windows flanking a wooden four-light bay window, all with marginal glazing. Number 33 has a four-window return with a gable-lit attic and a projecting central porch with Corinthian capitals to the piers. The property, along with numbers 27 to 33 consecutively, and the street wall in front, create a notable group.
