Description
The Cottage is a mid-19th century vernacular revival building located on Cock Hill. It is a two-storey structure with a single bay, constructed of red brick on stone footings, featuring stone dressings, a moulded eaves cornice, and a footstone. The roof is covered with stone tiles and has a high pitch. On the south side, there are two small windows: one on the first floor, which is coupled, and one on the ground floor to the right, both set in deep moulded surrounds. The central doorway has an elliptical arch. On the east side, there is a pair of coupled mullion windows on the first floor and a three-light mullion window on the ground floor. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension, and a chimney stack breaks through the eaves cornice.
