Description

The gatepiers and garden wall of Cockhill House date from the early 19th century. They feature two rustic gatepiers topped with moulded capping, alongside a dwarf wall that includes two plain piers. Ramps lead to the side doorways. A rubble stone wall extends approximately 60 yards to the northeast and stands about 6 feet high, with repairs made at the north end and a return to the southwest. There were two former mounting blocks that were converted to hold small cannons, which have since been removed to the garden behind the wall.
