Description
Ugford House is a detached house dating from 1636, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The exterior features painted flint and limestone chequers, a hipped concrete tiled roof, and brick stacks. The building is two stories high with three windows. The central entrance has a six-panelled door set in a pilastered porch, which includes fluted reveals and a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows with flat arches and keystones. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows, and there is a datestone located in the center. The eaves are deep and boxed.
On the left side of the house, there are French windows and additional 16-pane sashes. The right side features a single ovolo-moulded casement window to the left, a 12-pane sash, and a four-panelled door to the right. At the rear, there is an early 19th-century wing with a 16-pane sash on the left and a late 19th-century brick wing on the right. Inside, the house has a six-panelled door with reeded architraves, an open well staircase with stick balusters and a wreathed moulded handrail. The room to the left of the entrance includes a grey marble fireplace.
