Description

Bemerton House is an early 19th-century, two-storey building located on Lower Road in Bemerton. It features colourwashed stucco and wide flat eaves, topped with a hipped slate roof. The north front has three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all with narrow side glazing. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight, which has similar glazing to the windows. This door is set in a tall and deep panelled reveal, framed by a doorcase with Doric pilasters and a moulded entablature, creating a well-proportioned appearance. The west front has one central window. Although the old gate piers have been removed, the property includes a good garden.
