Description
Cherbury is a building dating from around 1850, located on Church Lane in Lower Bemerton. It features a Gothic style and is constructed of red brick with yellow brick dressings and quoins. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a prominent central gabled bay. This gable is adorned with waved bargeboards and a finial, and it has a slate roof with finials at the ridge ends and overhanging eaves.
On either side of the main block are slightly recessed single-storey wings, which have similar roofs. The gable includes a pointed attic casement. The main block exhibits symmetrical fenestration, with three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all of which are two-light pointed wood casements. The central entrance is pointed arched and set back, featuring a four-panel door with pointed upper panels. Each wing has one similar window, and the gable ends also have matching windows.
