Description
Nos 3 to 6 Prospect Square are a pair of two-storey buildings dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of coursed and snecked rubble with dressed stone keys, featuring brick quoins and lacing courses that step uphill. The roofs are tiled, adorned with three-course fish scale tile bands, and Nos 6 and 34 also display diaper polychromy in their tiling. The buildings have a four-gabled front with lower linking cross ridges, and each has tall brick chimney stacks. There is one range of windows per building, consisting of two-light casements with slightly cambered arches. The entrances feature half-glazed four-panel doors with brackets supporting braced gabled porches. Nos 6 and 37 have lean-to porches, while Nos 34 to 37 share a similar design, with Nos 34 to 36 showcasing braced bargeboards on their gables.
