Description
Nos 7 to 11 Prospect Square is a pair of 2-storey houses built from red brick. They feature brick cill and over lintel bands that step in several levels for each house. The front is irregularly gabled, with a full gable for No 8, a low gable above the first-floor window of No 9, and a single gable over Nos 10 and 11. The gables are tile hung, decorated with colour and fish scale banding. Each house has gable lights, and the roofs are covered with tiles that include three courses of fish scale tiles and vertical polychromy at the front, with diaper polychromy on the sides. Each house has one range of windows, consisting of 2-light casements with slightly cambered arches. The ground floor windows are slightly offset by bracketted lean-to tiled porches, and there are 4-panel doors. The houses also feature two brick chimney stacks, which are cruciform on irregular octagonal bases. Nos 29 to 33 Prospect Square, which are consecutive, reflect the same design, with gables that are similarly tile hung with fish scale tiles in polychrome bands.
