Description

Perry's Cottage is an 18th-century house located on the north side of Andover Road in Ludgershall. The building is constructed of rendered chalkstone and cob, topped with a thatched roof. It features two storeys and has an 'L'-shaped plan, consisting of a symmetrical three-bay front block with a central entrance hall, and a fourth bay to the left that includes a single-bay rear wing. The entrance is marked by a half-glazed door sheltered by a thatched propped canopy. The cottage has 19th-century casement windows and a painted inscription above the door that reads "H.S.S. 1791," referring to Harry H. Sturgess. Additionally, there is a brick stack, and the roof is hipped, with a half-hipped section to the right and an added external stack.
