Description
The Polhill Monument is a chest tomb located in the north-west corner of the churchyard of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a moulded table and base, with recessed corner balusters. The side panels display large fielded oval panels that are surrounded by sprays of foliage. This monument commemorates the Reverend Edward Polhill, who died in 1800.
