Description
The Manse is a detached house, currently serving as the manse for a Baptist church. It dates from the late 18th century, with an addition made to the south in 1857. The building features Flemish bond brickwork with diaper patterns in vitrified headers on the 19th-century section, while the original part has a tiled roof, and the later addition is covered with Welsh slates.
The house is two stories tall with three windows across the front. There is a 20th-century door on the right side, with a two-light casement window to the left and a blind window to the right, which has a segmental head and keystone. To the left, there is a 20th-century outshut. On the first floor, there is a two-light casement window to the left and a 12-pane sash window, along with another blind window to the right, all of which have segmental heads with keystones. The 18th-century part of the building features dentilled eaves on the left side.
The right side of the house has 9-pane and 12-pane sash windows with keystones, and the first floor displays a flush vitrified band with two 16-pane sashes. There are pilasters on the sides of the building. The left side has one and two-light casements. At the rear, there are 16-pane sashes on the ground floor, while the first floor has both 16-pane and 9-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The building shares similar 19th-century details with the Baptist Church built in 1857.
