Description

The Barnes monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 1.5 metres north of the Church of St Peter in Stourton with Gasper. This monument dates from the mid-17th century and is made of limestone, featuring large end and side slabs. The tomb has a badly weathered moulded flat top. On the north side, there is an inscription dedicated to Robert Barnes, who died in 1690.
