Description
Packhorse Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse situated on the east side of Cricklade Road in Purton. It is constructed of rubble limestone with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, with a projecting rear wing. The central entrance features a six-panelled door surmounted by an ornamental fanlight, set within deep, round-headed reveals. Sixteen-pane sash windows are fitted with concealed boxes. A substantial brick stack is located to the left of the through hall, and another is situated in the right gable. The left bay has been partially rebuilt.
