Description
This is a mid-to-late 17th-century house located in Chippenham, with alterations made in the 19th century. The house is constructed of painted limestone rubble, with a prominent exposed freestone quoin on the right side, and has a stone slate roof with swept gulleys. A stone ashlar stack with a brick shaft rises from the left gable end. The building follows a two-unit plan and includes a 20th-century extension to the rear. It is a single-story building with a large attic space, featuring a two-window front. Two forward-facing gables are present, the one on the right dating from the 19th century. The windows are 19th-century paired sash windows; the first-floor left window has 6/6 panes, while the others have 4/4 panes, with one ground-floor window on the right featuring 3/6 panes. A small, oval leaded oculus has been added to the left side. The main entrance is located in the 20th-century extension. The interior was not inspected.
