Description

5 King Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed of colour-washed gault brick and features wide flat eaves and a hipped slate roof. The upper floor has three windows, consisting of two glazing bar sashes and a central panel. On the ground floor, there are two pairs of French casements, each topped with a rectangular fanlight. The building has a verandah on three sides. Additionally, there is a two-storey extension to the Carpet Factory River Block, which includes two glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and two doors on the ground floor. The left part of this extension is made of gault brick, while the right part is constructed from patterned brick and flint.
