Description

Nos 52 to 58 on Castle Street are a row of two-storey red brick cottages built in the early to mid 19th century. They feature steep gable end slate roofs and projecting eaves. The first floor has six windows, of which two are blind, while the ground floor has four windows with flat stucco arches and recessed sash windows that retain their glazing bars. The paired doorways have recessed doors with four flush panels, each framed by pilasters, a frieze, and a common cornice. These cottages are part of a group that includes Nos 52 to 64.
