Description
This is a pair of chest tombs located in the churchyard, about 14 metres east of the vestry. They date from the mid-18th century and are made of limestone. The tombs have plain designs with 20 cm thick chamfered flat tops that feature good lettering. The northern tomb is dedicated to Giles Eyre, a Member of Parliament who died in 1750, while the southern tomb is unidentified but is noted to be a child's tomb. Both tombs have headstones with shaped tops attached to each end.
