Description
Westrop Lodge is a mid 19th-century lodge located on the north side of Lacock Road in Corsham, serving Corsham Court. The building is constructed from squared rubble and features a slate roof, with moulded coped gables topped with finials and a ridge stack on the rear wing. It is designed in a Tudor style and stands two storeys high, showcasing 2-light mullion windows with hexagonal iron lattice glazing. The west front is double-fronted, featuring two windows on each floor and a central projecting ashlar gabled porch. The gable ends display the Methuen arms at the apex, with a 2-light window on the first floor and a canted bay on the ground floor, which is adorned with an ashlar strapwork parapet. The rear wing has 2-light windows on each floor on the south side.
