Description
Westrop House is an early 19th-century house that was extended in the late 19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble and features a hipped stone-tiled roof with ridge stacks on the rear wings. The building stands two storeys high and was originally designed with a three-window range, which has been extended to four.
The original section includes two 16-pane windows on the upper floor and a central 12-pane window. On the ground floor, there is an original 16-pane window to the right, flanked by a late 19th-century pair of 12-pane windows in the center and a late 19th-century door to the right, which is set in a raised moulded surround with a hood supported by brackets. The extension features an upper 16-pane window and a lower pair of 12-pane windows. The original range has three gables at the rear, with a fourth gable added to the right.
