Description
The Malt House is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubblestone and features a stone slate roof with a hipped projecting gable. The building has an ashlar stack on the left and is designed in a T-plan layout. It stands two storeys tall and has two windows. The central door is set within a stone flat-roofed porch that includes a bull's eye window, and the door itself has margin glazing bars. To the left of the door is a three-light ovolo mullioned window with a drip mould, which is also found on the projecting wing to the right. The first floor mirrors this with the same three-light windows. At the rear, there is a door with a moulded architrave and a flat hood, along with sash windows and a 20th-century extension. The interior has not been inspected.
