Description
Elm Farm is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building is two stories high with an attic and has four window bays facing the street gable. There is an 18th-century wing on the south side that is parallel to and set back from the road. An attached washhouse is located on the north facade, and there is a door in the re-entrant with the wing. The street gable and rear elevation have two-light chamfered stone mullioned windows on the first floor. The wing has plain tiles and three window bays with leaded two-light windows, although the central door has been blocked. A barn in the yard on the north side is dated 1672, likely contemporary with the house.
