Description

This structure is a 20-metre-long wall attached to the southeast corner of the Estate House, dating from the early 19th century. The wall is constructed of English bond brick and features a flat stone coping. It stands approximately 3 metres high and runs between the Estate House and the gateway. The gateway itself has a double-chamfered elliptical arch, flanked by buttresses with offsets and an ogee-moulded cornice above the arch, topped with a battlemented parapet. The wall encloses the area and the gateway provides access to the stables and other estate services.
