Description
Number 14 is an early 19th-century two-storey and attic house with a contemporary front garden area enclosed by railings and walls. The house is constructed of chequer brick, featuring a first-floor string course, boxed eaves, and a half-hipped roof covered in old tiles. There are three dormers visible on the roof. The front facade has three windows on the first floor, with two three-light windows flanking a central single window. The ground floor also has two three-light windows, which flank a central 19th-century door. This door is set within a stone Doric porch consisting of double pairs of columns supporting an entablature, and is accessed by four moulded steps. Urns are located on the porch landing, and 19th-century railings extend across the front garden. The front garden is enclosed by early 19th-century brick walls with stone coping, which step up regularly with the slight incline of the hill. There are mature trees to the right of the house. A contemporary rainwater head with ornamental moulding and downpipe is also present. The property contributes significantly to the character of the street.
