Description

Kingsbury Hill Cottage and Merle Cottage are two cottages dating from the 18th century located on Kingsbury Street. Merle Cottage is two stories with an attic, featuring colour-washed brick on the ground floor and tile hanging on the upper part, topped with an old tile roof. It has two gabled dormer casements with lead lights and two similar three-light casements on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a nine-panel door to the left, along with one three-light casement with 19th-century lights and one four-light casement with 18th-century lead lights. The adjoining cottage is one story with an attic, constructed of chequer brick and also has an old tile roof. It features two gabled dormers with modern lights, one three-light casement, one two-light casement from the 19th century, and a plain door to the left on the ground floor. Together, Nos 17 to 34 form a group.
