Description
Old Carrier's Cottage is a detached house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and dressed limestone, topped with a thatched roof that has a half hip to the right and a hip to the left, along with brick stacks. The building is single storey with an attic and features three windows. There is a 20th-century porch at the center, which includes a two-light casement and double planked doors to the left, as well as a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement to the right. A blocked doorway to the right has inserted two-light casements. The cottage has three eyebrow dormers with either three-light or two-light casements, and a two-light casement to the right. The rear of the cottage includes casements and three eyebrow dormers, while the right return has a 20th-century casement. The interior has not been inspected.
