Description

Netton Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of Flemish brickwork, with stone quoins, a plat band, and stone window and door frames. Flint and greensand chequerwork decorates the north gable. The roof is tiled, and the property has attics and a cellar. Originally, it comprised three bays, incorporating a central entrance and stair hall, with a two-bay wing to the rear on the left. A half-glazed front door is set within a moulded stone frame, and is sheltered by an added timber canopy with a swept lead roof. The windows are recessed, chamfered mullioned, with leaded glazing. Two hipped dormers are visible on the roof. A rear wing features central and end stacks, and a re-entrant angle contains a 20th-century two-storey extension, roofed parallel to the main block. An external stack is located on the left gable of the front block. The staircase is from the 19th century.
