Description

St John's Bridge and the attached walls were built in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of limestone ashlar and coursed squared limestone rubble. It features three round arches, with the central arch being larger than the others. The bridge includes cutwaters and pilaster strips, a string course at parapet level, and a coped parapet that has lancet openings. The attached parapet walls extend approximately 20 meters to the northwest. Historically, this bridge is located on the site of an earlier bridge, which was also known as Mill or Town Bridge.
