Description

Nos 4 to 6 on High Street are late 18th century buildings. Nos 4 and 5 are three storeys high with a rendered and painted front. They feature a hipped slate roof, a moulded wood dentil cornice, and eaves that sweep over. The buildings have flanking pilaster strips and four sash windows with later glazing bars, all set in wooden architrave surrounds. Each first-floor window has a convex frieze and a dentil cornice above it. The ground floor has a modern shop front that extends to No 6, which is two storeys tall and also has a rendered and painted front. No 6 includes an attic with two hipped dormers and three paired sash windows on the first floor, which retain their glazing bars and are set in moulded flush frames.
