Description

This is a barn located to the west of The Mansells, dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber box-frame structure set on a rubble plinth, clad in weatherboarding, and topped with a stone slate roof. The barn has a T-shaped plan consisting of five bays and includes a north midstrey. The roof is half-hipped at both ends and has a ridge saddle stone and a copper weathercock, with a half hip over the midstrey. Inside, there is an original butt-purlin, collar, and tie-beam roof, along with stone flags on the floor. The barn has recently undergone repairs, which included an internal concrete sunk frame, but the exterior cladding remains in very poor condition.
