Description
The stables and carriage house at Marston Hill House, now converted into flats, were built around 1885. They are constructed from rock-faced coursed limestone and feature a tiled roof. The central block is one storey high with an attic, flanked by one-storey wings that create a courtyard at the front, which is enclosed by a wall and gates. The main block is symmetrical with five bays, where the center projects forward and is topped with a gable. It has a pair of ground floor doors set under a basket arch and a wind vane on the gable. The building includes stone-mullioned windows and two gabled dormers. The wings are similar in style, but the right wing features two open carriage bays.
