Description
Totterdale Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse constructed from rubble stone, topped with a thatched roof featuring coped verges and gable end brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and is two storeys high with three windows. A central 20th-century porch leads to a door, which is accompanied by a 3-light steel casement set in a recessed chamfered surround, although the mullions on either side are missing. On the first floor, there are 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casements flanking another 3-light casement. To the right, there are attached single-storey outbuildings with planked doors. The rear wing includes 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casements, single casements, and double planked loft doors. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in January 1986.
