Description

Wick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a tiled roof with gable end brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window front facing northeast. There is a 20th-century door set in a beaded stone surround, with a 19th-century canted bay window to the left and a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement window to the right. On the first floor, there are two two-light and one three-light mullioned casement windows. To the left, there is a single-storey extension that includes 20th-century dormers and patio doors at the rear. The right side of the building has a two-light mullioned casement window on both the ground floor and in the attic. At the rear, there is a three-light mullioned casement window, a blocked doorway, and another two-light mullioned casement window, along with a gabled extension that has a doorway. The first floor of the rear extension features three two-light mullioned casement windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey in February 1986. The farmhouse is said to be located on the site of a deserted medieval village.
