Description

HEYWOOD CHURCH ROAD ST 85 SE (east side) 4/184 Ludlow monument in the churchyard about 2m east of Church of Holy Trinity GV II Railed enclosure with low bellied chest tomb. Henry Grinsford Gibbs Ludlow and his wife Fanny died 1876. Limestone tomb with gothic-style lettering to curved top, richly ornamental cast-iron railings on ashlar dwarf wall with dogbars and vine decoration. H.G.G. Ludlow built Heywood House (q.v.) and founded Church of Holy Trinity.
