Description
This former stable, located immediately northeast of No. 25 Greenover Farmhouse, dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a corrugated-iron roof. The building is two storeys high. The ground floor has a wide central doorway with a segmental arch made of voussoirs, and there are hinges for double doors. On either side of this central doorway, there are smaller doorways, also with segmental arches, each fitted with plank doors. The upper storey contains two loading hatches: a large one in the center and a very small one at the left-hand end, both equipped with plank doors and strap-hinges. Additionally, the left side wall has another doorway on the ground floor, with a loading hatch above it. This stable is believed to have formerly belonged to Greenover Farmhouse and is included for its group value.
