Description
The gates at the Torbay Road entrance to Abbey Park are a pair of cast-iron gates dating from around 1900. They feature attractive lattice work below the middle rail and a frieze of rosettes beneath the top rail. The verticals are topped with alternating spearhead and cruciform finials. The gates are mounted on square-section posts made of decorative cast-iron panels, which are adorned with anthemion finials and topped with globes designed for gas lighting.
