Description
The dung-house, located on the north-west side of the lower yard at Middle Blagdon Farmhouse, dates from the 1870s and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble and features a turnerised slate roof that is hipped at both ends, with a timber ventilator. The building is oriented on a southwest to northeast axis and completes the lower yard of farm buildings at Middle Blagdon Farm. This single-storey structure has a large louvred ventilator on the ridge and two enlarged openings on the yard side. While it has been more altered than the other buildings in the yard, the dung-house remains an important part of the group due to its historical and functional significance.
