Description

The wall in the garden to the west of Jesmond House dates from the 17th century and early 19th century. It stands approximately 7 feet high and is about 35 yards long, constructed of rubble with a brick capping. There is a fireplace with a four-centred head that is now isolated from a two-light mullion window in the same section of the wall, separated by a glazed passage, which is all that remains of a former cottage.
