Description

A terrace of three houses, now offices, was built around 1830 to 1840. The houses are constructed from distinctive Flemish brickwork and have a slate roof with small lunette windows in the attic. Chimney stacks are located on the party walls between the houses. Each house is two storeys high with an attic and cellar, and is three bays wide with a central stair hall and two rooms deep. Number 8 has a half-bay extension to the right. An entrance has four steps leading up to a doorcase with an elaborate fanlight above a six-panel door set within a reeded frame. A wrought iron openwork porch with a lead-covered canopy provides shelter. The windows are two-pane sashes with rendered, splayed lintels. Inside, a dog-leg staircase features an inlaid mahogany rail. A stair window to the rear has pointed leaded glazing bars.
