Description

No. 42 on High Street is an early 18th-century building that stands two and a half storeys tall. It is constructed of painted brick and features chamfered quotas on the first floor to the right, along with a wooden eaves cornice beneath a modern pantile roof. A brick gable end chimney is located on the left side of the building.

On the first floor, there are two windows; one is blocked, while the other is a three-light wooden mullion and transom window with lead glazing. The ground floor has a later bressumer with a cornice and a glazing bar sash window. To the right, there is a six-panel door.
