This milestone, located close to No. 53 on Moormead Road in Wroughton, is possibly from the 18th century but more likely from the 19th century. It is made of roughly facetted stone, and the incised directions have become obscured over time. The milestone is painted with the distances: "To Swindon 1 mile. To Devizes 18 miles."
