Description

This milestone, located on the A361 in Wroughton, is possibly from the 18th century but likely dates to the early 19th century. It has a painted, curved front with a top that is dented for a bench mark. The incised lettering, which is now obscured, indicates distances to Swindon (4 miles) and Devizes (16 miles).
