Description

The Tomb of Thomas Washbourne is a Grade II listed shaped chest tomb, dating from around 1805 or 1836. It features a plinth and four corner fluted Doric columns that support a moulded canopy, which shelters an oval draped urn adorned with memorial plaques. The tomb commemorates Thomas Washbourne, who died in 1805, and his wife Elizabeth, who died in 1836. It is located beneath the expansive canopy of a churchyard Yew tree.
