Description

No 93 on High Street is a building from the 17th and 18th centuries that was altered in the mid-19th century, as indicated by the dated brick marked 'J. Lee '73'. It is two storeys high, constructed of red brick sitting on a stone footing, and features a modern tile roof that has replaced the original thatch. The building has two brick chimneys, with the left-hand chimney having a thick capping. At the rear, there is a catslide roof. The front facade includes three ranges of three-light casement windows, and above a roughly central six-panel door with a bracket hood, there is a two-light window. Internally, there is a very large chimney on the west side. The rear of the building is mostly made of chalk, and it has a through passage plan.
