Description
Cherry-Tree Farmhouse is a late 17th-century building situated in Hannington Wick. It is a two-storey and attic farmhouse with a complex 'L' plan, including a slight break in the south wing. The exterior is of rubble construction with a mix of stone, slate, and modern tile roofing. The eastern side of the house features the 'L' plan shape with a pair of diagonal chimneys marking the angle of the south wing, and a doorway located within this angle. A gabled break in the centre of a right-hand extension reveals a two-light attic window, a three-light first-floor window, and a four-light ground-floor window. An additional lower two-storey wing extends to the right, with an irregular arrangement of windows and a doorway on the left side. A lower extension continues to the right. The south-facing windows of the south wing likely were originally mullioned, but are now topped with wooden lintels.
