Description
The building is a stable, now functioning as an outbuilding, located 6 meters north of the Manor House on Cheney Manor Road. It dates from the 18th to 19th century and is constructed from rubble Swindon stone with a corrugated asbestos roof and a brick stack on the left side. The stable features four bays and has a central door facing south. It is two stories tall and includes timber casement windows beneath wooden lintels. Notably, there is a small, low-level, 2-light stone mullioned blind window from the 16th or 17th century, which has hollow chamfers and segmental heads with carved spandrels, likely reset. The left bay is a later addition, and there is also a lean-to structure. At the rear, there is a hipped privy.
