Description
Bridge House is a building from the 1820s that has a front added to an older structure. It stands two and a half storeys tall and is constructed from coursed and dressed rubble, featuring ashlar dressings and a stone tile roof with coped verges. The gable ends have brick chimneys with chamfered capping on the plinths. A central dormer with a scalloped bargeboard is present, along with three windows that have glazing bar sashes and balconettes on the first floor. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with rectangular overlights above. There is a box-like wrought-iron porch that may date from the 20th century. At the rear, there is an older extension that is one and a half storeys tall. Additionally, there is a small shed built into the wall to the west, near the Castle East farm buildings, which also has a stone tiled roof. The interior of the building retains features from the early 17th century, along with signs of later alterations.
