Description
Castle Eaton House is an early 18th-century building that was altered in the later 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and features a hipped stone tile roof with two stone chimneys that have moulded plinths on the ridge. The house has a two-plus-one window arrangement with glazing bar sashes. To the right of the center is a tented trellis porch that leads to a six flush panel door with a radiating fanlight.
The north-east front is made of rubble and includes cill, lintel, and former transom courses, with three bays and four windows on the ground floor, as well as an attic. To the right, there is a one-and-a-half storey section made of brick, stone, and stone tiles, which features four gabled dormers. The rear of the house has a 'U'-plan layout, with one gable on the right that has a blocked two-light mullion window and a drip. The central section includes a three-light chamfered mullion window with a drip. The left-hand wing has two bays, with an angle filled by a brick stair turret on a stone plinth, and cross-type wooden frank windows.
To the left of the house is a long, lower two-storey stable range made of rubble and brick, contributing to a pleasant farmyard grouping.
