Description
Greenaways is a building located in Castle Eaton, believed to date from the 17th century, likely around 1720. It is two storeys high, constructed of rubble with a steeply pitched stone tile roof. There is a gable end chimney on the right side. The front features a range of modern three-light casement windows, which were formerly fitted with mullions, and an inserted window to the left. A modern gabled porch is present, along with a gabled extension on the right and a single-storey extension on the left. A blocked gable light well can be found at the front of the building. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace, and the main beam displays a decorated stop chamfer, similar to that found at Lower Farmhouse on Wick Road in Hannington.
