Description

This is an 18th-century building, altered subsequently, located on the north side of High Street in Highworth. It comprises two ranges, originally designed in a “T” shape. The exterior is rendered with a pebbledash finish, topped with a slate roof featuring sprocket eaves. A brick chimney with a T-plan design is located on the left side. The roofline has two large gabled dormers, each with shaped bargeboards that extend below the eaves. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor, to the right, is a 20th-century angled bay window with a modern hood sheltering a six-panel door, which is positioned slightly off-centre. The building is included on the list for its group value. A mid-19th century two-story gabled extension, constructed with rubble and brick quoins and quoined dressings, forms the rear portion of the building, designated as number 33A. This extension is also included for group value.
